Maintaining Immigration Status

In the U.S., the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is responsible for implementing immigration regulations. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS), a division of DHS, requires that international students abide by specific rules and regulations during their period of study in the United States. If you do not maintain your status and are considered unlawfully present in the U.S., you could face serious consequences.
